The retreat sits low against the Aravalli hills outside Pushkar, its apricot-pink stucco and carved white jaali balustrades set back behind a garden thick with bougainvillea. A columned veranda runs the width of the ground floor, stepping down past stone stairs to a forecourt lined with roses.
Inside, the palette turns warmer still, with terracotta-washed bathrooms, striped upholstery in rust and cream, cane-backed chairs and brass lamps set against marble and stone floors. Curios collected over years of travel sit alongside the furniture: a wall of framed miniature instruments, a hand-worked mirror, and a canopied daybed out on the lawn.
